Tomorrow's officially my last day of uni. I'm envious of those who have class on Friday, because it means that they get one extra day to savour the University of Melbourne experience. As this first year of uni closes with a snap behind me, I wanna run back to the door and start pounding. I want to go back to the days where I could drag myself out of bed at ungodly hours of the morning. Later it became the non-stop replacing of lectures and tutes that I couldn't wake up for. Going to class, meeting friends and making new ones.
Talking over lunch, scavenging the city and it's surroundings for a morsel to eat, spending too much money, laughing at the silliest things. Crying at the bad, arguing when necessary, and growing stronger together at the same time. Wandering around campus, admiring the different buildings while complaining about the far walk at the same time. Snapping pictures at every opportunity, and sharing life together.
Class. Friends. Atmosphere. Food. Experience. Love. Joy. Laughter. Friendship.
I want back in. It was a great first year. I grew leaps and bounds. I developed admirable habits, and picked up one or two bad ones along the way, only to strive to amend them later. I met awesome, wonderful, fantastic friends. Everything works out in the end, as I told Noelle. As all this progress sped towards the ultimate closure of the year, I started loving life a bit more each day. I feel that there's so much more left for me to experience, so I don't want the year to be over. But, there's always 2nd year :)
So, to my dearest friends that I've met, and those that I've grown closer to. You have no idea what you mean to me. I've been searching for assurance to overcome my insecurities. I've found it. You all make my life worth it, help me forget me worries and my burdens, and teach me that loving life will only teach my heart to expand it's boundaries.
Thank you.
Second year better be as fulfilling, fun and exciting as this one!

Cause I'll never have your heart.
So called updating regularly huh? I've been quite busy, and I fell sick too :(
I think it was Seok who told me this : When you give pieces of your heart away, after a while, you won't have any heart left.
Sure, it was said in a total different context (we were talking about a part of my heart dieing with my camera battery), but I think it applies now. I think, it's no longer full.

We just need excuses to meet up
Since I got back to Melbourne I hadn't been to Donvale. Which meant that my aunt and cousins had to endure Ruwanlessness for a good 4 months! I finally had a weekend free to visit my dedicated room there for my cousin's birthday. Unfortunately it was on the same day as Anselm's birthday bash, and so I had to miss his one. I was so annoyed, and I missed out on a lot of fun.
But I had a blast at Donvale - my family is the best to me :) Anyway, I hadn't seen Seok in ages, and since rough patches were being departed from, I thought it would be nice to meet up with the Mary's gang before I left. Hence, it was my farewell to the suburbs :P
You are warned : tonnes of camwhoring :P
Oh ya, I just wanna thank the 3 of them for coming, cause Mary's provides food for them, so I was honoured that they were willing to forgo that to eat out with me. But to be fair, I ditched someone when I heard they were free :P
The meetup started off innocently enough. Dinner at Wing Loong. Fried rice was nice :D

And then, I took them to Chokolait Hub! EXCEPT THAT IT WAS CLOSED ISH ISH ISH. So while we were wondering the streets of Melbourne, with me so upset that it was closed, we decided to take some pics!

Ok la. Where else do you go? Max Brenners lar :P That's where the havoc started.

It says "Big is Beautiful".

Wai Hong treated me to Hot Choc :D

We weren't done. We still had Hoyt's to conquer.

The next day, I arranged to have lunch with WH and Hem before I left. We ate at my favourite place on Lygon, Ying Thai. And for afters, we went to FCUK. Wai Hong and I bought the same shirt "=.=

But obviously, I looked better in it ;) Jokes Jokes.
And then...there were the suburbs
To be continued!
