Pursuit of Sneakers

I've been looking for shoes lately; I need a good one for walking in Melbourne. I know there's a perfectly functioning tram station directly in front of my building, but hey, might as well have a bit of exercise right?

I actually found the PERFECT shoe. It was the first (and only) shoe I looked at when I entered the store. It was at the Adidas Factory Outlet store, which is even more surprising since I usually am biased toNike.

It was the special edition Muhammad Ali shoe. It was so goddamn comfortable. My feet were in heaven. I could walk 500 miles in those soft leather shoes and still not care. The colour was really unique as well.

My mom said if I wanted, I could buy them. Then a little while later, she said "You better not buy it. When you go to Melbourne, they might just see the "Muhammad" and think you're trying to convert people". Well, actually she said the T word, but I don't want to get into trouble!

So fine. I couldn't be bothered arguing, especially since she had just brought me some tshirts back from overseas.

A month later, today, I went to Nike Mid Valley. I spotted the Ronaldinho shoe (with his "signature" and the number 10 written casually on the side, and a really interesting velcro flap that protected your laces from being stepped on : I badly need that). My mom agreed that they were nice, and all I could see was "Ronaldinho", so we asked for my size (10.5-11).

Only size 12 was left! AAAHHH...I tried them on anyway, and tried to act like they were perfectly fine, but my mom said no! I also tried the other autographed one, this one without the flap, but the sole was not suitable for walking.

After a couple of other shoes, I bought one EXACTLY like the Ronaldinho one, but without his signature ;( What's more, I bought a size 12. Because the "shape" of the shoe was different from the original one I wanted, I needed a bigger one.

It was RM20 cheaper, so that means they think his signature is only worth RM20...hmmm...Oh, and it's brown, and is leather! Nice to walk in, but definitely not as plush as the Ali one.

I also bought some socks, and came home :) OH! I've got my credit card! Visa Gold :) YAY! It's going to be the least used credit card ever issued though. I really don't see the point of credit cards. If you have the cash, buy. If you don't, why bother?

Right?

See, I'm so mature!

Off to break in my new shoes! :D
