Before I start on my outing with Edmund and Shing Yun :
Idiot Business Law. My lecturer said that the first 3 weeks work would come out. HE DIDN'T SAY THAT THIS SHORT IN-THE-MIDDLE-OF-NOWHERE CHAPTER WOULD COME OUT TOO! Grr...I didn't study it cause he didn't mention it.
Okay la, even if I had studied it, it would have only helped with 2/3 questions - and I can't even remember what I put for those questions so I'll just have to wait for my stupid marks to come out on Monday. Probably a C! Ish.
On another note, I got full marks for my first Accounting mini-assignment. It's only worth 1% of my total grade though. But my lecturer wrote me a congratulatory note! I was so happy I didn't fail Accounts I almost cried right there in class!

I invited Shing Yun and Edmund out for lunch a few days before I was leaving for Sydney. They waited for me to ask my lecturer a few questions and then we headed over to Arrow! We hung out for a bit in my room, drinking milk (hehehe) and snacking on grapes. We then went down to Cafe AMI to have Malaysian food! Everyone enjoyed it so it was good! :)
After that Edmund headed back while Shing Yun and I headed to Cotton On at Melbourne Central since she needed some thongs (that's what they call slippers here). They didnt have it, so we walked all the way to Elizabeth (or rather we went out through the back entrance of Melbourne Central and after crossing through an alley, realised we were on Elizabeth). We didn't see the outlet there, so we walked to Bourke. OH gosh.
Who the hell makes such long streets? We finally got to Cotton On and she bought her slippers. Then, we decided to explore (or rather we took a wrong turning after Shing Yun wanted to see this anime shop cause I got disorientated), and ended up going around Spencer, Exhibition, La Trobe etc. All in all it was a pretty long walk, so we decided to reward ourselves at QV's Max Brenners.
Yum. Dark Chocolate in a hug mug.
Anyway, getting lost helped me find MAS, and Society which you will see me visiting in the next few posts :)
After that Shing Yun came back to my place to warm up and have strawberries in syrup. I loaded her up with food that would expire by the time I got back from Sydney, and then had to drop her at Melb. Uni cause she didn't know how to get there "=.=
Hehehe...it was quite fun! And my apartment was surprisingly so warm that we didn't want to get into the chilly winds outside. Till the next update, tata!

Woot!
I almost gave my dad a heart attack today.
I told him my test score would be out at 5, and once I got it I tried calling him but he was in a meeting. Obviously his secretary didn't pass on the message, cause he didn't call back! Then, during the Biggest Loser, he messaged my mom asking "He didn't do well is it?".
So I decided to April Fool him! :P
Daddy...I got 5%!
What? How much?!
Yep...5%...lima peratus
Only that? What happened?!
Mum : RUWAN! DON'T DO THAT!
Aih...I got 5% over 5% la!
Oohhh!
Hahah :) I got full marks, which means I have now got 5% towards my future grade! Yay!
Business Law is gonna slaughter me tomorrow though. Shit.

Pointless Filler
Oh no.
I get the results of my Microeconomics test in 53 minutes! It's the first test in my uni life and is worth 5% of my total semester grade. The questions were quite tricky, but Econs is my domain so I'm scared :(
(If Econs is my domain I shouldn't be scared right? It's more like my friends think it's my domain and so I have this urge to try and not embarass myself when they inevitably ask how I did.)
49 minutes
I'm currently trying to study for my Business Law test which is tomorrow. After proclaiming my love for it a few posts ago, I have something to prove for that too. AAAHHH. It's not as easy as it looks OK?
44 minutes
Wish me luck. Damnit.

5 more days.
I can't take it anymore.
I can't handle it - there's too much stuff to handle, from assignments pouring in at a faster rate then they go out to having to cook, buy, clean, walk, tram....and it's so lonely you just can't imagine. I guess coming here was a mistake after all.
And besides I haven't paid the remainder of my fees yet.
Maybe I'll be back, since my apartment lease lasts for 6 months anyway. But I've got the green light from my parents, so I'm flying back with my mom on the 6th. I could only get a Business class seat on the plane, so the price is so killing me. But anyway, time to pack.

oh, and one more thing. Happy April Fools.
A funny story
During the aforementioned drama dinner, I found out N's husband's education history. He went to Uni of Sydney to read law but didn't attend lectures or anything for the first semester. Once he slept for 2 days straight after struggling with an assignment and missed his final exam!
In order to resit the exam he told the uni that he had a drug problem and was in his recovery stages! Hahaha. They let him resit the test and pass up the assignment late.
In his second semester he decided to drop out, and then spent a year travelling around the world to do rock climbing. After that he went to ANU to do a Bachelor of Arts and then his Masters. He's been working for IBM, and after all these years he's been posted for 2 years to Japan.
He has inheritance anyway, so I guess he can afford to do what he did. And his current job is quite rewarding too! But seriously, isn't that just plain weird?
Or maybe it's just plain Aussy.

Misfortune
Speaking of losing things...
One of the most helpfulcousins aunts I've had in Melbourne is leaving to Japan for 2 years tomorrow. A week before I left for Sydney she invited me over for dinner with A.S2 and U.S2. It was a night of good food, good humour, and embarrasing videos.
When U&A S2 heard I got to Clifton Hill by train, they insisted on dropping me back at my apartment, and so on the way out I checked to see if my key was with me when I realised MY WALLET WASN'T THERE! You should have seen the pandemonium that ensued. I had 2 credit cards, an ATM card, $150 and all my medical cards, my driving license and IC copy etc inside.
I knew I had got off from the train with it, but it had just disappeared into thin air! I checked the car twice, but couldn't spot it. Meanwhile U&A S2's young daughter was getting really sleepy and cranky. After 20 minutes I gave up, and N gave me $50 incase I needed anything.
Suddenly, N saw the wallet on the side of the road, next to the car!!!! It had fallen out when I got out of the passenger seat! I was sooo relieved I couldn't even say thanks.
But that's not the end of misplacing things.
I got out of the car at my apartment, and suddenly realised I misplaced my pass key. Oh gosh. I was so afraid to call the S2's cause it was so troublesome, but I did, and they made a round and came back and thank God, it was there. SUCH A BAD IMPRESSION!
Aargh. Poor me. But the next day, N dropped by with a brand new $50 Kenwood rice cooker + steamer set for me! And she insisted on me keeping the $50 she had loaned me. Yay! So it all ended on a happy note.
2 weeks later and I haven't misplaced anything! :)
