Meridien PART 3

This is a post from the old blog!

Another view from my room; the swimming pool. It's damn cool : It has slides, bubbles, different depths...sigh.

I wish I could swim.

My aunt said she would pay for dessert too, but the dessert places in the Meridien were closed. So since we went to the cafe at the Hilton, my dad said we would pay ourselves.

After dessert, my dad surprised me with a packet of McD Nuggets to tide me over if I got hungry at night. (When I got hungry at 3am, the nuggest had gone ice cold, so I had to throw them away).

I watched Bones on my laptop till 3.30am. I decided that was enough, and so got into bed, but at 4am, my sister and Rezza both decided to call me. Hmmm. After chatting a while, I finally fell asleep.

I woke up the next day at 9am to have breakfast at Latest Recipe or Prime, but I was told I would have to wait about half an hour before a place was available. My mom said that she would just bring me some from home. I used the time to pack up all my stuff other than my lappy, so when she dropped by, she brought my maid to bring back two of my bags, and then said to reserve a table at Al Nafourah for four for lunch.

I visited the Club Lounge on the 33rd floor for a while, before coming back at around 11.30.

I watched Bones till 12.30 which was my checkout time. I waited in my room till about 12.45 though, since I needed help with my other bags. After dumping them in the car, the family set off for lunch at the restaurant that comes highly reccomended...Al Nafourah.

My aunt had given me a coupon for a free bottle of wine, and free dessert. Both went unused since we were too full for dessert, and we forgot about the wine.

The food was great. I reserved the alcove. There are about 2 or 3 of them in the restaurant, and are extremely cosy and provide much needed privacy and comfort during your meal. These are the pictures, the fountain outside the alcove, and the guy pouring us drinks.

After the amazing lunch, we dropped my dad home before taking my sister back to KL Sentral to grab the bus to Genting where she had an office retreat and lunch at The Olive. We had to take her back home first because she hadn't started packing. "=.=

Overall, Le Meridien was fantastic, surpassing all expectations. I had so much fun, and had such comfort. I've always wanted to stay overnight at a KL hotel and so now I've fulfilled that :) So thanks to my aunt/boss!

Sigh. Contentment.
