Premiering

Updates should be flowing in on Friday if all goes to plan! Am swamped with tests and assignments right now, but just want to let you know that I'm only 16 posts behind, and will get to them asap!

But first, I haven't blogged about Hilary Duff in ages. Only 2 things of importance to note : She turned down the role of Annie Mills for the remake of 90210 - it would have been nice to see her on TV again, but she doesn't want to be cast teen roles anymore.

Even bigger news, War Inc premiered at Tribeca last night. Along with her costars, Oscar winners Sir Ben Kingsley, Marisa Tomei, and John and Joan Cusack, Hilary was seen on the red carpet with her sister and boyfriend.

Did I mention she's back to blonde?

And War,Inc. was given a rating of 4/5. Out nationwide in the US on the 23rd of May :)

Ju's Tag

Instructions: Remove 1 question from below and add in your personal question. Make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8 people and notify them.

1. At what age do you wish to get married?
In my late 20s or early 30s.

2. What is your most favourite thing to do?
Hanging out with friends, and restaurant-hopping with them :)

3. What would be your ideal birthday gift?
A never ending day with friends, filled with good food, movies, chat, coffee and adventure!

4. Do you believe you can survive without money?
Definitely not! I mean, some people could live a basic lifestyle, but most of us need that material twist to satisfy our cravings. Coffee, cars, a nice house, and charity are mine :)

5. What are you most afraid to lose?
I really don't know.

6. What do you feel like doing right now?
I feel like finishing my QM assignment!

7. If you meet someone you love, would you confess to him/her?
It depends I guess. I need to get to know them well enough, and it depends on if I ca nmuster up some guts or not.

8. List out 3 good points of the person who tagged you.
Ju-En is wacky! And she's fun to be around, and she's a really great person to have a conversation with :)

9. Name 1 non-musical sound you like?
The little barks that my camera makes when it takes a non-flash picture

10. What kind of people do you hate most?
Backstabbers and Hypocrites.

11. What is your ambition?
I have a lot of ambitions, but to sum them all up, I want to become very succesful.

12. What will make you think bad of a person?
If I think they're a hypocrite, or if they treat different people differently.

13. What do you think is most important in your life?
Family, friends, conversation, and enough money.

14. If there is any part of your body you could change, which would it be?
Nothing at all. 'Cause God made me the way I should be. But if my teeth could reproportion themselves overnight and stay in place, I would do that :(

15. Who is the person you can share all your problems with?
Seok Mei (aren't you lucky?). But I can't remember if I actually share ALL my problems to begin with.

16. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Busy at work, and loving it!

17. Which country would you choose to migrate to, if given the opportunity?
The UK, or Australia! :P

Those multi coloured, multi flavoured, small round fruit sugar coated candy that they don't sell anymore :(

Nope.

Actually doing a bit well at Uni studies!

  • Albert (do your first one!!!)
  • Clareen

Chocolate Temptations

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIXIA!!!!

(gosh, you have too many favourite colours!)

A few weeks ago Harvey, Ai Vyn, Seok and I met up for mid-evening dessert at Max Brenners Melbourne Central.

I was the only non-prefect there! It was good for us to meet up after so long, and we talked about school days (this was the part that Seok stared blurly into space), and about the absolutely fascinating food that Max Brenners had to serve.

This is what I shared with Seok...Chocolate Waffles, highly recommended by both MB regulars :

And Harvey's concoction in a milk bottle : I want the bottle!

After that, I cooked dinner for me and Seok : Cous Cous, beef curry, and Itallian meatballs.

SHE DIDN'T DIE!! AHAHHAHAHA...more pictures on the meal later, when I get it from bandwidth-stingy Seok!

Deadlines!

Aaaahhh...My phone bill for the month is $330...almost RM1000!

Damn.

________________________________________________________________

My aunt N was leaving for Japan, and so she was giving away most of her stuff. I was supposed to get her PS2 or X-Box, but her husband had also promised it to my other cousin! Eeesh. So nvm...I already got tonnes of stuff from her anyway - I'm really grateful to all the things she's done, and I think I'll miss her and my little cousin being in the same vicinity.

Aunt S threw her a farewell party, and I had to give a speech! Here are some pics!

Apparently during the party N's husband offered his iBook free of charge to anyone who wanted it, and no one said anything - NOT EVEN MY MOM. AAAHHH...I would have loved an iBook! Finally another cousin of mine said she would take it. Yeesh. But again, I'm satisfied with what I got!

A few weeks ago, Sara and I met up to study Econs during lunch time. I wanted to eat somewhere along Collins Street and finally we decided to eat at Society - also because Sara really didn't want me to make her walk anymore.

The environment was great, but the portions were so small! My bill came to $25 - for a few mouthfuls! Officially my most expensive meal in Melbourne yet.

The last pics of this post are of another cousin's birthday - the sister of the one who got the iBook. It was held at their house at Mount Waverley. The 16 year old birthday girl made the cake!

Here's to clearing up posts :D

Sydney Family

So, I stayed at my uncle's place in Glenwood when I went to Sydney.

I stayed in my cousin's room (she's married and so shifted out) - and that's officialy my room if I ever go to Sydney. THE STARS THAT THEY PUT UP ON THE CEILING 7 YEARS AGO ARE STILL THERE AND GLOWING IN THE DARK!

When I brought back some to KL those many years ago, they all stopped glowing or fell off after a month or so.

My family's got a new baby! A Spitz by the name of Mimika. She's so cute, but SHE'S SO SPOILT! I made it a point to train her as much as I good while I was there...she improved so much, but once I left I knew she would just go back to normal la. Haih.

Our house is near Hillsongs!

When I got back my long lost cousin visited. I've never met her before, but they're really so nice! My uncle came down to Melbourne for a night to see my apartment, and so she offered to take him to the airport. She has a daughter as well, who's ambition is to do a Seok! Medicine at Melbourne Uni.

I was so glad I got the chance to fly up to Sydney for Easter - it was well deserved and just felt so good. So, I'm happy :)
