12.15 saw me walking back and forth between both McDonald outlets at KL Sentral, waiting for the ever slow Pearly to arrive with her two carryons. I suspected I was being duped; hidden from. It turned out however that Pearly, Lixia and Wei Xiong hadn't even arrived at the station yet.

After they had their laugh, we headed off via Monorail to the Pavilion. I was in a forgiving mood since Pearly had brought back (what I found to be sinfully wonderful) chocolate from the UK. It was in the shape of Santa! Wheee! She also gave me a solid Telephone Booth key chain.
We enjoyed the walk there too.

After a sojourn to the bathroom, we bought our tickets and had our meal at Pastamania.

Some examples of events that unfolded at Pastamania were random childish acts of sprinkling cheese on seats, "seasoning" each others pasta with chili and pepper, and verbally bludgeoning out information from defenceless parties.
AVP2 was far better than its prequel. I actually enjoyed it, but I do think there was an unnecessary scene involving pregnant women. One of the main characters acted in the OC and Raise Your Voice. The Glitters there is really classy.

When we were handing in our tickets, the no-better-qualifications-but-to-be-a-ticket-collector ticket collector insisted on confiscating my camera until the end of the movie. Did they actually think I would take that lying down? I told him to take me to the office where I blasted the manager.
1. "Do I look like I need to MAKE PIRATED CD'S?"
2. "The Pavilion is supposed to be a class above Mid Valley but it uses more archaic rules?"
3. "GSC is the same everywhere, Pavilion KL or not. So why should camera-holders be treated differently here?"
4. "How do I know it wont be gone by the time my movies over?"
5. "If I had carried it in my pocket you wouldn't even know I had it. So why don't I see everyone elses bags and pockets being searched? Are you that lazy? Are you trying to make an easy example out of me?"
I don't think they understood most of it, but the stupid little man kept repeating the same words : "It's okay Sir, you come get it from me after the movie", so with a snarl of disgust I thrust it at him.
"I want a signed, written note saying that you took my camera away" "It's okay Sir, you come get it from me after the movie"
I mean, come on man.
I collected it after the movie, and we went off shop exploring. I also queued up at J.Co's, while the others relaxed in their comfy chairs. My mind was drifting, and I found myself thinking how nice it would be to have someone I knew standing in the line ahead of me. Suddenly, I spotted someone I knew. She was behind me, not ahead of me though.

Chryseis! This was her first time lining up, and I managed to save her the trouble. No bodyguard in sight. Lol.

Before heading back, we were enticed by this shaking "space ship" ride. We paid RM15 for 6 minutes inside this machine which seemed determined to shake us inside out. It gives you the sense that you're travelling through space. The graphics were sub-standard, but my complaint is that when we passed through "rocks" on screen, we just passed right through them instead of being bumped and bruised!

We headed back via the monorail, and Pearly's dad picked us up at the Bangsar LRT station. We headed back to her house, where she grabbed her keys and we headed over to pick up Charmaine.
She has a new dog! Miniature Poodle...I couldn't stop petting it, ruffling it's fir, running my fingers through it's hair. It was so silky and smooth! And it didn't make a single sound.

Have I mentioned I love dogs?
We had dinner at the Curve : at Pho Hoa. We gave Lixia her finalised present too.

Charmaine treated us to the meal. Thanks Charm! They dropped me back home at 11, and headed off into the darkness.
A propos : The monorail is so temperamental! My first ride was free and easy. On this trip however, public transportation was out to get me. On the way there, the driver stopped the train for 5 minutes at every stop. Maybe even longer. On the way back, it was so full, that I was pinned up against the railing, and Lixia was pushed up against and suffocating me. Eventhough there was no space for movement,
Till the next post!
