Kenny Sia, Friends, and the Curve

I met Kenny Sia under extremely humiliating circumstances! Story below ;)

Last Sunday, I met up with my close school friends at the Curve :)

Steph and I met up at Borders at noon, and proceeded to walk over every step and stone of the Curve and Cineleisure. Tchen Terk joined us at 12.20, Yar Sze and her Chris at 12.50. Yar Sze was the planner of this outing, and she felt guilty for making me wait, so she gave me this : (half eaten at the time of the picture).

It looked much nicer with the "Gong Xi Fa Cai" sticker on it, but it fell off :P

We had lunch at Tony Roma's. I had the TR Burger, the cheapest on the menu, because the waitess recommended it. It was small, but filling. I prefer Old Timer at Chilis though!

We finished lunch at the same time the movie started, but made it just as the advertisements ended.

Sweeney Todd was EXCELLENT! FANTASTIC! HILARIOUS, AND BRILLIANT! I was laughing through the entire duration of the movie, which quite creeped the others out slightly. Tchen Terk, who had seen the movie the day before, was singing along to all the tunes, which admitedly, were really quirky, creative and dynamically composed. Slightly too much singing though; there was barely enough talking.

After that wonderful movie, we headed back to Tony Roma's to have Chocolate Avalanche. On the way, we saw this poster for some movie, which had a peep hole in it.

I looked through it, but couldn't see much. So, my camera came in handy!

Yar Sze wanted to go to MNG to buy a dress, and on the way she suddenly said :

YS : Was that Kenny Sia?
Me : Let's backtrack and check!

So Yar Sze and I went back a few paces, and passed him again. It was him! I joked about wanting a pic with him, and then Yar Sze went up to him and all his friends, sitting down and having their late lunch/heavy tea and said "Hey Kenny? My friend would like a pic, but he's quite shy to ask!"

Kenny : Which friend? :D
YS : *points*
Me : .........
YS : By the way, what are you doing here?!
Me : YAR SZE! PRIVATE STUFF!

Steph is like my mom; she doesn't zoom! And, all his friends actually turned in their seats to see us take the photo! Yeesh.

After the MNG shopping, we said goodbye to her and Chris, and the three of us started wandering! We walked all over the Curve, went to Tesco to buy coffee, back to the Curve for tea at Winter Warmers, to IKEA for Tchen Terk to check out furniture prices, again to the Curve 'cause I had misplaced my cake and then back again to Ikano for Popular, and the pet store.

Steph's tea cup was in the shape of a heart!

Winter Warmers was really calming. The cool breeze passing through my hair, the musicians crooning away, the wonderful decorations and atmosphere around me on the Street. Friends, convesation, and wonderful hot tea.

Finally, at around 7.30 we headed to Royale Bintang for me to meet my parents, and on the way bumped into Sha and Lala! After Steph left, Tchen Terk and I had a chat, and finally my parents arrived. He refused to let me give him a lift, and walked 20 minutes back to his house in the DARK and DRIZZLE. My parents were so worried for him!

All of them have been studying in Aussy, so they gave me nuggets of useful information, and Steph spent almost an hour telling me all the restaurants she was going to take me to! It was one of the first times in a long time that I've gone on a full Cempakan outing - or rather one where eveyone knew each other! We had great chats, and got the opportunity to really catch up. It's interesting, that we rarely have time to meet or catch up, but we still remain close anyway!

Thanks to Yar Sze for organizing, Steph for all the info, and Tchen Terk for temaning me! See you all soon yeah? :)

Btw, these ae 2 of Yar Sze's modelling pics! Hahaha! Embarrasing enough Sze? :P
