Shopping with the Ponniahs

The whole point of the trip to Mid Valley was to buy me a new luggage bag (I wanted a bigger one), and to have coffee. And possibly buy a new Sims 2 Pets cd, cause mine ain't working no more. This is the story of how a boy was dragged out of his room, and spent almost 3 hours directing the rest of his herd around a giant shopping mall, and coming home with a bill of over RM4000.

Oh, and also had substandard coffee.

The last purchase is the most expensive.

So, the whole family bundled up into the car and shot off towards MV. "Eh, we're going MV ah? I thought we were going to Digital Mall so I didn't bring my handbag!" - Sis.

We parked in The Garden's Premier parking, (which is just like a normal car park, with normal people parking there. Sheesh. But okay la, lot more parking bays were available) and headed towards the bridge to MV. On the way my sister spotted L'occitane and decided she needed new shampoo among other things. She had to use my dad's credit card since she forgot her handbag, and qualified for a lucky draw. I was put in charge of picking out the packet, and lo and behold, I won the grand prize! Some orange hair gel which is supposedly quite expensive. The sales people were all coming over and saying "Wow! You won that?!?!?!". "=.=

Bill total so far : RM139

When she was done, we went to the luggage store, and while my mom was measuring all the different bags, I went to try buy my game from IT World, but apparently they don't sell pirated Sims anymore. Meanwhile the rest had gone to Metrojaya to try their luck with bags there, so I met them there, and we spent almost an hour staring at one particular bag and wondering if we should get it ("Something must be wrong if it's 50% off!"). We did in the end, and I also bought some vests and a beanie.

Bill total so far : RM288

My sister had gone to Primavera, and wanted to buy a pair of shoes (which when I saw, pointed out that she had one almost like it at home, and got shushed). Dad handed over the credit card again and she got it.

Bill total so far : approximately RM468 (didn't look at the price of the shoes)

We then headed to Starbucks, when Rezza called from Sydney. While talking to him, my parents spotted DOME, and decided that they didn't want to walk further. I complained to them about this choice, and Rezza berated me for being picky. I had Vienna and Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was filling, but not the best I've had. Vienna, like all Dome drinks, was substandard. I paid for the bill - my first purchase with my credit card! In the end the bill will go to my parents anyway, so in actual fact they'll be paying :P

Bill total so far : RM554

We then headed back to Metro to collect the stuff. While my dad and I collected it, my sister and my mom bought some minor stuff.

Bill total so far : RM567

My mom spotted Watsons on the way back to the Gardens, and went in and bought something which I didn't look at.

Bill total so far : RM577

We stopped again at MPH, and bought a Unic pen for my cousin in Australia, my dad got a planner, and I got refills for the two Unic pens I got for my mom and sister. And my sis saw wrapping paper she liked and bought it.

Bill total so far : RM620

Then, when I thought we were homebound, my sister saw the Tag Heuer shop, and 15 minutes later we exited with a Mother of Pearl face, sapphire glass, gold and silver Tag Heuer. We got a 20% discount, which is kind of customary anyway.

Bill total so far : RM4420

My mom checked her watch prices (Rolex : approx RM8k, Omega that she lost in the robbery : RM8k, and the newer version of her Raymond Weil : RM6k) to keep herself occupied, and then we FINALLY WENT BACK HOME!

I drove back :) Everyone was so tired, so I couldn't drop in at Digital Mall to get my game. Sigh. I need it by Friday, so that I can install everything properly on my laptop. I managed to get around the first DVD's kinks, so now I can't wait to see if I can play my current families when I'm in Aussy. If I can't, it'll be a waste of RM10, but what to do right?

8 more days people. My mom has started waking me up at 7.30am every morning so that I can wake up early over there. Today was okay, 'cause I had to clear my room to see if I found anything I wanted to take over. Didn't find anything important, except the envelope with all my pictures, and that can be added in last minute anyway.

Oh, and I also found somethings I want to share with you in another post.

So now, I just need to get a webcam for my parents, and a new memory card reader. I gave my one to my mom's friend cause I didn't think I would need it, but now my mom says I have to use my old camera in Aussy. Sigh. Someone give me one please?!?!?! Hahahah!!!!

Sherryn, keep blogging!

If I want to get up at 7.30, I better hit the sack now, so see ya tomorrow! Have 3 updates waiting for you, so will fill ya in as soon as possible!

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Shopping with the Ponniahs!
